TFL is a Brooklyn-based queer synth/electric guitar duo. With thoughtful harmonies and lyrics that oscillate between honest, moody, and sometimes irreverent, Forest and Exa will deliver songs that’ll move you, maybe devastate you, and definitely stick in your ears.

The Shallows, from Somerville MA was formed in 2019. Drawing from a range of influences (Slowdive, Pale Saints, Beach House, etc.), the band released their first EP, Arsonist, in October 2019 and started playing well recieved local shows in 2020 until the shutdown. The band's music features washed guitars and orchestral synths, post-punk/new romantic style earworm hooks and soaring harmonies drawn from their Dream Pop/Shoegaze influences. The Shallows are vocalist Jess Baggia (This Bliss), guitarist Brad Emerson (ex-Strangeways, The Milling Gowns), drummer Jason Keisch (ex-SCUBA, ex-Strangeways), and bassist Ben Didsbury (r|verghxst).

In the hot vax summer of 2021, John Merfeld had a collection of songs written during lockdown and no one to play them with. He called up two friends from previous musical collaborations and the boys started jamming above a dance academy in Brighton, MA. John's songs, originally a batch of slow acoustic tunes under the loose banner of "The Wait Here Trilogy" took on a new energy and focus under the influence of André's screamin' guitar and Jamie's unstoppable drums. When the trio turned heads with their set at Somerville Porchfest in the spring of 2022, they sensed that a new band had been born, and its name was superuser.
