Rob plays many instruments, including drum kit, bodhrán, rhythm bones, spoons and doumbek. He is a member of the percussive organizations Washboards International and The Rhythm Bones Society.</p> <p>Rob founded the band the New England Jug Band Kids in the Lexington Public Schools, which he directed for three years and presented at the Massachusetts Musical Educators Conference. He holds a Masters in Education and certificates in Orff Schulwerk and Kodaly (children’s music education), and Kalani Drum Circle facilitation.</p> <p>Rob was a member of the Boston-based, radical-traditional group Einstein's Little Homunculus for many years, playing contra dances and concerts while flexing his creative muscles as musician, singer, songwriter and producer. ELH has released three CDs.</p> <p>Rob has studied with Keith Copeland and Bob Gullotti, both outstanding jazz drummers and students of the late master drummer and teacher Allan Dawson. He’s attended master classes with jazz legend Max Roach and tabla virtuoso Alla Rakha. And he’ grateful for the time he spent in college with creative musician Yusef Lateef.</p> <p>Road work includes tours with Circus Smirkus, Grammy® nominee Adrienne Young, and Boston Music Awards winner Miss Tess.
