Jamie Kallestad is a songwriter from Cloquet, MN. A longtime guitarist and vocalist for the MN stomp-grass trio Saint Anyway, he is also one half of the New England Americana duo 90-Mile Portage. Jamie currently lives in Boston, MA. His new full length album Songs From The North Country was inspired by three months in Norway. In 2017, Jamie was selected to serve as an artist-in-residence for Porcupine Mts. Wilderness State Park.

Performing at their first Somerville Porchfest, No More Rascals is comprised of three regulars hailing from the Old Oak Dojo Open Mic in JP. For Porchfest, this small second-story band will be taking the stage on a small second-story porch. NMR features the acoustic guitar and vocal stylings of Deborah Frieze and Nejem Raheem, with Andrew Klein on drums (and occasional vocals). NMR crafts spicy folksy-alt-intellectual-rock originals with a dash of off-beat covers, and pairs well with craft beer and manchego. If you want to see these musicians shoeless, come by the Old Oak Dojo in JP the first Thursday of every month.

Buddy V is an Americana artist. He will be playing a solo acoustic set comprised of tunes off his most recent record along with other classics.

Jess Green pulls inspiration from artists ranging from Ella Fitzgerald to Carol King, Joni Mitchell to Ray Charles, and Diana Krall to Stevie Wonder.  In her music you will hear singable meldodies blended with colors and chord progressions that stretch the boundaries of traditional pop/singer-songwriter music and bring in a subtle but clear undercurrent of jazz.  Her show will mix music she's written with timeless jazz, folk, and blues tunes.
