Nancy Hall Brooks is a painter and printmaker who resides and maintains a studio in Somerville, MA. Her work connects personal stories and the wider spheres of politics, history and myth. Brooks has a strong affinity for expressionist, narrative art forms. Her paintings and prints are allegorical in an open-ended way, deriving their ultimate meaning from associations the viewer brings to the experience of looking. Brooks received her artistic training at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the University of Arizona in Tucson.
