Curated by Nia DeYounge, will discuss the correlations between art and secondary education, and ask questions about the role of the arts in cognitive, social, artistic, and academic development.
Panelists will discuss questions related to their own research and experience in arts and education. Artist-in-residence, Raul Gonzalez, works with students at Boston High School; Jessica Finch coordinates the Art Program at Children's Hospital; and Dr. Ellen Winner researches the role of the arts in cognitive and psychological development as director of the Arts and Mind Lab and Professor and Chair of the Psychology Department at Boston College.
