Music on the Seven Hills Park Stage

12:00pm — Flooky and the Beans

Flooky & The Beans is a Popular Children’s Rock Group and the brainchild of Baystate Illustrator, Rob Zammarchi. Flooky is a Futuristic Thinking Robot obsessed with technology who meets up with the Beans who try to impress upon him an appreciation for the beauty and wonders of nature. As they discover their mutual love for music, they build a better world in this engaging hour of musical entertainment for kids of all ages.

1:00pm — La Tuza
La Tuza is the only Mexican roots band in Boston, and one of just a handful on the East Coast. “Son” originated in Central Mexico, and is a fusion of Spanish, African, and indigenous music. La Tuza specializes in the African-influenced “son jarocho” of Veracruz, the swinging “son calentano” of the Mexican Hotlands, and the fiery “son huasteco” of the Huasteca region. The all-acoustic instrumentation includes jaranas, guitar, violin, cajon, pandeiro, tamborita, and a donkey jawbone!

2:00pm — The Sneaks

The Sneaks are a five-piece rock band from Boston that enjoy writing short bursts of energetic indie/power pop with some subtle quirks. They take as inspiration Merseybeat and 60’s garage rock along with 90’s-style indie rock to forge a sound that is catchy but not mind-numbingly sweet. Bands that have helped shape their music include the Kinks, Sloan, Squeeze, Built to Spill, Beulah and the New Pornographers.

3:00pm — Los Nitodos
Los Nitidos blends styles like Cumbia (Columbia), Tex Mex and the fast-paced rhythyms of Bachata (Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic) to create a singular sound. This seasoned seven-piece band, which released “Mi Lindo el Salvador” in 2001, features two singers, guitars, bass, drums, conga and guero. Whether fast and feisty Bachata or sweetly syncopated Cumbia, Los Nitidos creates sounds perfect for dancing.

4:00pm — Roll Over Baby
Driving to the core of humanity, booze, and social observation motivated straight from street poetry, R.O.B. sings and shouts with the soul-grit serenades of Baptist church born master Kemp Harris teamed with the underground, whiskey-driven vocals and viscous harp of Adam Oh. The thick, “less is more” attack of guitar with the CLAAAACK! snare hit of drums and the cannon kick BOOOM! of bass drive the band forward with second line soul calling on the Ancestors.

5:00pm — Township
The Boston Phoenix has declared Township an official “Supergroup” with their “transcendent bout of 70s stadium rock that sounds like The Who on steroids with an Afro-Latin twist.” Nominated for two 2007 Boston Music Awards and winners of the 2007 WBCN Rock n’ Roll Rumble, Township has shared stages with Incubus, BRMC, The Bravery, Extreme, The Click Five, The Mooney Suzuki, Richard Lloyd, Bad Wizard, The Drive-By Truckers and Alice Cooper.
