"Pure Junk" Visual Art Exhibit
Davis Square Traffic Island
and McIntyre & Moore Booksellers Window
All Day Saturday July 15th

Shoe Sole Bust by Danielle Krcmar. Pocket Cape by Amanda Matthews. Plastic bag rug by Susan Berstler. Salvaged Metal Robot by Skunk.
A one-day outdoor exhibit located on a traffic island in the heart of the festival, "Pure Junk" features artists and sculptors who exemplify how discarded objects can be recast in fresh, ingenious ways. Pieces include: busts made of old shoe soles by Danielle Krcmar; a junk totem pole by Wayne Viens; and a giant robot made from discarded bicycle parts by Skunk. During the month of July, "Pure Junk" works will also hang in the windows of McIntyre & Moore Booksellers (255 Elm Street), including Daniel Maher's stained glass window, which incorporates old candy jar lids.
