COVID Stabilization Grant: Round 3

You are here

Round three:  In November 2022, we released a final round of stabilization funding for Arts non-profit and community based organizations who have physical operations.  The funding is in support to further stabilize organizations' programming as they emerge from Covid.

For more specific information about this opportunity go to the application found here.

Round two: In March 2022, we released a second round of COVID Organization grants.  These grants were for non-profit and community based organizations who have physical operations and in need of support due to Covid related restriction on their operations.

Orgs received: $162,880

Round one:  In the fall 2020, the Somerville Arts Council (SAC) launched the COVID Relief Grant program to provide financial assistance to local cultural institutions and individuals who faced dire economic circumstances brought on by the COVID crisis.

Being fully aware that many local organizations are in peril due to the crisis, this new grant program strived to provide support to our local cultural infrastructure.   We believe that supporting Somerville space-based arts organizations and individual artists is a key way to do that.

15 Cultural Organizations received $201,000

49 Individuals artists received $161,000

A special thanks to the City Council and the Mayor for providing this support.
