All Day        Blackout Poetry with V. Brancazio. Blackout Poetry is a form of found poetry created by taking a full page of a book/magazine/newspaper and removing (or “blacking out”) some words while intentionally keeping others visible to create a new poem. V. Brancazio (They/Them/Theirs) is a poet and theatre artist based in the Greater Boston Area and was recently awarded a 2021 Fellowship from the Somerville Arts Council, as supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council. V’s work appears in print in Constellations and The Thing Itself and online on Plush. They also have a self-published zine entitled “BREAK: Stories of Feeling Too Much.” V is also a proud member of Stage Source’s Gender Explosion initiative. Paint Your Truth
1:15 PM     Paint Your Truth Workshop 1 with Vie Ciné, thee art expressionist. She curates spaces for self-care and wellness by facilitating process painting workshops. Process painting is a therapeutic art method that allows participants to focus on being present of their authentic mind, body and soul as they paint. Unlike traditional painting workshops and classes, the success is not in the final result but in the process that produces the final result. Participants who’ve engaged in this method of healing and self-awareness have expressed emotions of relaxation, clarity and a sense of peace after engaging in Paint Your Truth Workshops. Paint Your Truth has been in existence since November 2016 as a community workshop. Since the pandemic there has been a national increase for mental health care and Paint Your Truth aims to destigmatize mental health needs by proving professional services. Follow Paint Your Truth on Facebook @PaintYourTruth, Instagram @PaintYourTruth_ (don’t forget the underscore), and Twitter @PaintYourTruth. Email: [email protected]
