Karim Nagi and Sharq Arab Ensemble

Karim Nagi and the Sharq Arab EnsembleEgyptian musician & folk dancer Karim Nagi dispenses with all exoticism. Has has used his Arab percussion to get people dancing, clapping, chanting, and absorbed in real Arab culture. A former N.E.C. faculty member,  Nagi has recorded 13 CDs, 6 DVDs, 9 Music Videos, and tours Asia & Europe yearly. In 1999 he formed the Sharq Arab Ensemble, actively choosing musicians from various Arab countries playing traditional instruments. Moroccan instrumentalist Boujemaa Razgui, and Egyptian singer Ahmad el-Haggar are featured.
